The Beginning
Their story began with a simple match, one that quietly sparked something real.
On July 27, 2023, Preston rushed home from the airport to change before meeting Savannah at Prime Social in Kansas City. The moment she stepped out of the elevator onto the rooftop, he was completely taken aback. For Savannah, the feeling was just as immediate—an instant rush of butterflies, paired with a quiet sense of curiosity about the man waiting for her.
What was meant to be a quick drink turned into hours of effortless conversation. Laughter came easily, and neither of them felt ready for the night to end. When Savannah suggested they continue the evening at a nearby Irish pub, Preston didn’t hesitate.
By the time they finally said goodbye, there was a quiet understanding between them, something meaningful had begun. Savannah lingered, stretching the moment in small, subtle ways, while Preston gathered the courage not to let the night end without a kiss.

Building a Life Together

On February 2, 2025, the day began quietly at home, with Preston preparing all of Savannah’s favorites for breakfast in bed. For a moment, she wondered—could this be it? But gestures like this weren’t out of the ordinary for him, so she continued on with her morning, carrying a hopeful curiosity about what might be coming. As Preston casually packed his gym bag, playing it off as just another day, Savannah settled in with her coffee, thinking maybe he was simply being sweet. Then, just before walking out the door, he called out, “There’s a surprise for you on the laptop!”—and with that, he shut the door and hurried to his car.
When she opened the laptop, a video began to play. It started with Preston picking up the ring for the first time and showing it to her dog, Nala—for approval, of course—followed by a montage of all their favorite memories together. As the video came to an end, the first message of many directed her to the front door, where her best friend Logan and two younger sisters Aidain and Nadia were waiting to take her on a day full of surprises, all leading her toward the most important question of her life.
The Proposal
The day unfolded in the most joyful, thoughtful way—filled with all the little “get ready” moments she loved most with her best friend and younger sisters. They spent the day getting their nails and hair done, grabbing a quick bite to eat together with bubbly while following a trail of handwritten notes—each one filled with poetic clues that led her to the next surprise. With every stop, the excitement built. When she returned home, her favorite white dress was waiting, and she finished getting ready thinking surely the surprises had come to an end. But just when she thought she knew Prestons next move the final clue revealed where he was waiting - Savannahs families farm, the most meaningful place in her world. She had done a decent job of keeping the tears at bay until that moment, she realized this was it.
As she arrived, she was greeted by hundreds of candles lining both sides of the long gravel driveway. As she drew closer, she saw the man of her dreams waiting at the edge of a candlelit path, surrounded by flowers and leading to a softly glowing tent. He opened her door, and through quiet laughter and happy tears, they made their way down the path together. In a moment that felt both intimate and unforgettable, he shared a few meaningful words before getting down on one knee and asking for her hand in marriage. Overwhelmed with excitement, she kissed him before she could even say yes, then pulled back with a breathless, “Yes, absolutely, yes!”
The evening continued in celebration, capturing photos together in her favorite spots on the farm.
From there, the celebration carried on back in Kansas City over dinner and drinks at Prime Social Rooftop—the very place where their story first began.
